The Youth Tax

The GOP wants to raises taxes on you, your children, your grandchildren or all three. What's that you say? The GOP? Don't they cut taxes? Let's look at what happens when you pay taxes, a portion of your income comes out of your paycheck and you get some of it back at the end of the year, the difference is the tax amount. If the government decides during the middle of the year that it is not going to give you back what it said, it has just increased the tax rate.

Now, we pay into Social Security and Medicare when we are young with the expectation that we will get a "tax refund" back when we are old. If the government decides that it is going to cut the refund, the tax rate has essentially increased. This is what I call "The Youth Tax." This is exactly what the Republicans plan on doing when they get power.
